"I was adopted in November of 2010 to the state of Indiana. As one of the co-founders, I have been an active member of EAF since its inception, serving in different roles and wearing multiple hats. It has been a special privilege working in an organization that provides a supportive community where adoptees can not only celebrate their cultural heritage and be a part of a community that understands and accepts them but also, it is a space where they can find assistance to achieve their calling in life."

“I was adopted in December 2011, along with my three biological siblings, to the state of Indiana. I became an active member of EAF after attending the first annual gathering in the summer of 2022. Shortly after joining, I was asked to be a board member, and I have been serving as a board member ever since.”

"I was born in Hadiya, Ethiopia, and adopted to the state of Rhode Island in 2004. After reconnecting with my biological family, I was seeking a community of Ethiopians. I joined EAF towards the end of 2022. Shortly after, I began volunteering. In January of 2024, I began leading the marketing department and have been volunteering in that role ever since. Now, in 2025, I have also taken on the role of board director. I love EAF's mission and am inspired by the organization's vision. I have enjoyed collaborating with other Ethiopian adoptees to enhance our marketing developments, and I am excited for what lies ahead for our community!"

"I was adopted from Ethiopia in June 2006 at the age of three and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where I had limited connection with other adoptees. In July 2024, I joined EAF and was thrilled to become part of such a meaningful and supportive community. For the first time, I found a space that connected me not only to Ethiopians, but with other adoptees who shared similar experiences. I began volunteering shortly after joining and eventually became a board member to help create a greater impact. It’s an honor to be part of an organization that fosters belonging, advocacy, and connection across North America and Ethiopia!"
